Welcome to the Amazing Journey Blog Hoppers Hop! This month’s theme is Outdoor Fun! I'm so happy you're hoppin' along!
If you arrived here from Heather's Blog blog, you're on the right track. If not, that's ok too! Just continue the hop and you'll come full circle!
Please don’t forget to click the Next button at the bottom to continue on the hop with Christine’s blog. Now, let me share with you the card I created.
One of my favorite outdoor activities is to hike. I just love to be outside and in nature. I love to explore new places also. I thought the sentiment was perfect.
I used Pool Play Cardstock for the base of my card. The first layer is Kiwi Slice Cardstock and I added texture by going direct to paper with Kiwi Slice ink.
I then die cut a Journey Circle from Whip Cream Cardstock and took the Rich Sorbet PanPastels and used the Denim Days color to make the soft blue background. I adhered this piece to the card using foam squares on only half.
Next, I stamped the backpack and boots from the Adventure Awaits set in Cocoa Powder ink on Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock. I detail cut these out, colored a few pieces with colored pencils and added Gold Silk to the boot eyelets. I add these pieces with foam squares.
I then stamped the sentiment from Adventure Awaits on a Whip Cream Cardstock Journey Circle with the piercing elements.
To finish the card, I added some Journey Natural Twine, the arrow die from Border Details in Black Licorice Cardstock with Journey Glaze and some Rainbow Drops. Enjoy!
Here is the full list of hoppers, if you get lost!

Deletei enjoy the fact that your base card is blue not white -- not the first thing one notices about the card but it sets off your front panels so well! so many creative aspects to this card -- it is an inspiration. Great sentiment too (though part of me thinks it could go with an image of a microscope too and not just refer to hiking and traveling LOL!)
ReplyDeleteI agree SuseADoodle. It would be a great sentiment for a microscope card. Thank you.
DeleteWow! Awesome card! I love how you used the arrow die to point the way!
