Hello Crafty Friends,
Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop! This month’s theme
is Masculine. If you are following along the hop, you have arrived from Kim Quade blog.
Be sure to read through my blog, comment below and continue to Maureen Rauchfuss' blog. If
you get lost along the way, you can find a list of Blog Hoppers at the end of
each Blog.
Here are the projects I created for this month’s hop. I always struggle with the masculine theme. I don't know about you but cards for men are hard to design and feel so plain to me compared to the ones I create for girls. This time I turned to Dreaming Tree for help.
I created the shutter card from their Good for Guys bundle, using their svg file. This is a picture of the front of the card.
The bow tie is a belly band and comes off to open the card.
Then when you open the card, the shutter opens and it reveals the message.
To create the card I used cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey, pattern paper from Echo Park and the stamped sentiment was stamped with Black Licorice ink and a sentiment from Spellbinders.
The project is also a svg file from Dreaming Tree and matches the paper I used on the card.
This is one side of the lantern. The other side looks like this below.
This is a lantern, so the recipient could add a battery-operated tealight to the inside and the images of the man on the bike would be more noticeable.
I hope you liked the projects I shared and you will have some ideas after continuing with the hop. Please leave me a comment and keep on hopping.
