K is for Kids

Today for the letter K, I would like to share my love of kids.  I am a teacher and starting teaching when I was quite young.  I taught preschool at my church when I was in 6th grade.  I have always been involved with kids and can't imagine my life without kids in it.
My first teaching job was in preschool.  I used to tell people that I get paid to play games and put puzzles together.  I loved that job, but I had to move on because I knew I was not going to be preschool teacher my whole life.
I now teach 4th grade and have my Master's Degree in Education.  I love teaching kids and watching the light bulbs go off when they discover something.  I do not have kids of my own, but I have lots of "little" lives that I have touched with my teaching.
Today's card is for my love of kids.
The base of the card is Bubble Gum Cardstock and Journey Basic: Pastels Pattern Paper.  I then tied a Bubble Gum Satin Ribbon around the card and tied it in a knot.  I added a Wooden Accent to the top of the knot with Whip Cream Thread and tied it in a bow on top.
I die cut a Treat Label from Pool Play Cardstock.  I then die cut a Journey Ovals with Whip Cream Cardstock.  I stamped the All of Us ATS (on sale this month for 30% off) and the "hi!" from Little Big Greetings, (also on sale this month for 30% off) onto the Whip Cream Cardstock with Black Licorice ink.  I then used Copics to color the image.  I attached the oval to the card with foam squares.
I finished the card by adding some Candy Dots.  Enjoy!

  1. That is an adorable card :)

Being a teacher is hard work, something I don't think I could be so I do admire those that can be teachers and really enjoy being a teacher; it seems like you are one of those :_
