Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

New month and the chance to create more Christmas cards.  At this rate, I might have a nice stack ready before Christmas.

Today I want to share with you this super cute card I created for a card swap with a Christmas in July theme.

I used the Kindred Stamps Magical Season Limited Edition Christmas set.  I had so much fun coloring this cute little pup.

I used cardstock for the base of the card.  The pattern paper is from Echo Park and the wreath die is from Queen and Company.  The sentiment is from the same set.

I colored the image with my Copics.

Fur: Y19, Y15, Y11

Antlers: E25, E23

Ears: C5, C3

Mouth: RV34, RV32, RV11

Bells: Y28

Collar: G28, G24

Thank you for stopping by,  Please leave me comment and then create a Christmas card and share it with us as Merry Little Christmas blog.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is July and we are half way to the Christmas season. Creating Christmas cards is my favorite thing to do. I created this Christmas card for a swap I was in.

All supplies are from Kindred Stamps. This was a limited edition Christmas set a year ago, so it may not be available, but I had to create this cute castle, with my favorite guy out front.

The castle is made with 15 different pieces of cardstock and glitter cardstock. The garland and Mickey wreath are another two layers.

I stamped and colored the Mickey with my Copics.

To finish the card, I added a bow to the wreath.

I hope you are creating Christmas cards a little at a time throughout the year so you have a nice "stash" by the end of the year.  Share some of them with us at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and leave me a comment too.

Hello Crafty Friends,

We are in the heat of summer and what is better when you are on Summer Vacation but to craft and be creative.  I have recently been working on some Christmas ornaments and wanted to share my favorite so far.

I created this ornament using the ornaments from Dollar Tree. I then used Poly acrylic and white glitter to color the ornament white.  I then used permanent vinyl in black and red and cute the image out with my Cricut.

To finish the project, I added the red polka dot bow from ribbon in my stash.

I love the craft and hope you do too.  Let's see your projects. Join the challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog where anything goes.

Bitten by the Bug 2 - May the Force be with you

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we have a fun challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2.  Are there any Star Wars fans?  The theme this week is May the Force be with you.  If you are not familiar with the phrase, it is a Star Wars play on words for the Fourth of May.  Instead of fourth, it is force.

I have only seen a few Star Wars and have never really gotten into the series of movies and things, but I know it is very popular.  I put an adult coffee spin on my project this week.

Anyone for some DeathStarbucks?

I found this SVG while looking through google.  I thought it would be the best image for an adult coffee mug.  I found the SVG at Editable SVG.  I cut the image with permanent vinyl.

Now it is your turn.  Create a Star Wars inspired project using your Cricut and share it with us at Bitten By the Bug 2.

Bitten by the Bug 2- Fairy Tale Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2 with a Fairy Tale theme.  Think about all the stories you enjoyed as a child like Cinderella or Peter Pan.

Fun Fact: Did you know there are over 500 versions of Cinderella in many different languages and cultures.

I chose to create a project for Peter Pan, because I loved these cute fairies.

I used a file from Miss Kate's Cuttables and cut the fairies from permanent vinyl.  I then added them to the side of a stemless wine glass to make a little light.

Now, it is your turn.  Create a fairy tale inspired project with your cricut and join us at Bitten By The Bug 2.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Bitten by the Bug 2: Snowflakes

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2 today and we are using snowflakes.  It has been pretty hot the last few days here in Southern California, so it is pretty easy to be thinking about snowflakes and snow and snowmen at this time.

If you know me, I had to use Olaf on my project, so I broke out my Frozen Cricut cartridge and created this door hanging.

The large snowflake background is a wood cut out from the Dollar Tree, which I traced and cut out a blue glitter cardstock layer to put on top.

I then got to work cutting out different colors and sizes of snowflakes.

I then die cut Olaf, put him together and placed him inside the circle of snowflakes.

I think he looks pretty happen between those snowflakes.

To finish him, I added some sequins and an organza bow to the top.  He is ready to greet our visitors with a smile.

Now it is your turn.  Please create a project with snowflakes and join the challenge here.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

I'm Nuts about You

 Hello Crafty Friends,

I love Kindred Stamps!  I love the memories that these stamps help me to relive.  They are all so cute.

The card I created today was created with Kindred Stamps and bring back memories of my last trip to Disneyland a few years ago.

I used cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey and pattern paper from Authentique to create the card base.  I then die cut a circle from the Circle Around die set from Fun Stampers Journey.

I stamped the sentiment from the Kindred Stamps stamp set, Nuts about You, with Hazelnut Blend ink from Fun Stampers Journey.

I then used my Copics to color up the cute little guys.

Bellies: E13, E11

Chip: E29, E27, E25

Dale: E39, E37, E35

Dale's nose: R37, R35.

I finished the card by adding some Cocoa Powder Gingham ribbon, from Fun Stampers Journey around the middle of the card.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Mickey Mouse Pumpkin

 Hello Crafty friends,

If you know me, I love anything Disney and Mickey Mouse, so when I saw this cute SVG cut from Treasure Box Designs, I had to create with it.

I used some Doodlebug designs pattern paper for the base of the card and then cut the Mickey Mouse pumpkin out with my Cricut.  I distressed the pumpkin pieces to add depth.

I then stamped the Happy from the Jack O'Lantern stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey.  I added the colorful Halloween from the Doodlebug stickers that match this collection to the top.

Thanks for stopping by,  Please comment on my post.

Winnie the Pooh

Hello Crafty Friends,

Recently my crop group had our monthly crop and the theme was Classic Movie Night.  One of the swaps was to create a card featuring things about the movies or movies themselves.

Here is the card I created.

I found this quote from Winnie the Pooh and thought this Cricut image was perfect to go with it.

The card base I used Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then printed the quote with my printer.  I cut the image of Pooh out with my Cricut using scraps I have on hand.

Not an exciting card, but I think the saying is what is important and could be sent to someone for encouragement.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Kindred Stamps- Cute Kids

Hello Crafty Friends,

I wanted to share a card I created a long time ago, but did not share.  I created this for a swap and the card actually went to England.

I love these little cuties.
I created the card using one of the cards from the Simple Stories Say Cheese paper line as my background.  I then added some washi tape to the bottom and used baker's twine to tie a bow.   I added a little "Mickey" jewel in the corner.
I colored the cuties with my Copics.

Here is what I came up with.

I used my Cricut to cut out Mickey and Minnie.   It take a little bit of patience to get all those little pieces into their spots.

I then cut out a heart from some cardstock I had on hand.  I stamped the sentiment with a stamp from Fun Stampers Journey.
